About

I have 30 years of construction experience in very extreme climates (cold down to -50⁰F and heat above +100⁰F with extreme humidity, sunlight and high winds). Over the past 18 years I have been working in the property insurance industry, handling weather loss claims. Working directly with window manufacturers to identify available repairs, replacement parts and repair methods. This information has been captured and is now available to homeowners, contractors and the insurance industry. In a cold climate the energy efficiency of your window is very important. In climates with extreme sun and humidity, the deterioration of your window components can be accelerated, and this can effect the window’s energy efficiency, and the overall comfort of your home. When homeowners add to, or remodel their home, it can be hard to find the same or even similar windows to finish the home and maintain the appearance of the house.
